Hi, my names is Isleen, I am 41 years old, I have two active boys ages eight and 10. I’m a stay at home mom. Warrior Babe has given me a complete new mindset about food on how important it is when it comes to lifting weights. I feel like a complete badass at the gym with all this extra strength and energy. I started Warrior Babe in April of 2020. Before my fitness journey I started, maybe like seven years ago, yeah, seven years ago after I had my youngest, I’ve done beach party programs, I’ve done shakes, I’ve done yoga, I’ve done nutritional challenges, 30 day challenges, and I also joined a CrossFit gym. This is when I discovered how much I love lifting weights. I did hear about macros, but I was still a little in the dark as to how to personalize them to fit my fitness goals. I remember one year I signed up for a 30 day Paleo challenge and during this 30 day challenge I did lose weight, I did lose inches, yay! But what I also discovered was I was getting this negative mindset with food and I was starting to develop some health issues and I knew that this was not the path that I wanted to continue. Oh and I did like lifting weights, so I wanted something but I couldn’t find what I was looking for.
So like many of you lying on your couch, have to put in the boys to bed I’m scrolling through Facebook, Instagram and then all of a sudden, boom, Nikkiey pops up. And I remember saying to myself, wow! If I can have arms like her, actually if I can actually look like her that would be amazing. So of course I screenshot it, saved it, kept scrolling. Months go by and then all of a sudden, boom, pandemic breaks, everything kind of shuts down. So I noticed that one night, she pops up again, she’s got at home program, she’s got gym program, she’s got body weight program, and I was like, man, I was like, what do I got to lose? You know? So of course I signed up, and slowly things were starting to kind of open up again. So my gym was, opening up slowly and I started lifting, started her program, man I wish I started this earlier. So of course, few months roll through, I’m loving it, I’m seeing my strength go up, I’m seeing like my body just moving all this weight that it hasn’t moved in so long and I’m also seeing like how much energy I have at the gym I’m like this is amazing, you know? So of course, after a few months I’ve noticed that I’m starting to PR my lifts, I haven’t PR-ed in years so I was pumped with that.
She’s giving me more food to eat and I’m like, yeah, like this rocks, you know, then I started seeing like my body in the mirror and I’m like, wow, I was like, I’m actually starting to like see like the muscles bulging out. So of course I’m like super stoked, super happy, and not only that, but like, the fact that you get one on one, like you get to talk to her about your goals, your progress, on these, Q and A calls is amazing. You get to chat with her she gets to see your progress, she’s got this no bullshit approach, she’ll call it like it is, and she is, this is where she works her magic is where she can like tweak your macros, she’ll see your progress, she’s like, okay, let’s fix this and this and this and then I’ll see you, in a couple of weeks. And we’ve been doing that like month to month to month and my strength has been growing and growing and growing and I can’t be any happier with this program.
She’s amazing, the fact that the amount of food that I’m currently eating, I’ve never eaten this much food before. I’m eating lots of carbs, which is amazing, and my strength has gone through the roof. And you can have a cheat day, like a cheat meal, and not be upset about it or feel guilty for eating that. Because back then I would, if I had like a burger and fries the next day I’m like kill myself at the gym because I ate a burger and fries. It’s like in this program, it’s like it’s a lifestyle that you can continue on for the rest of your life. There’s no restrictions. Warrior Babe has taught me that food plays a major, major role with changing your body composition, helping me move some serious rate weight around in the gym, having that healthy relationship with food again, it’s amazing. I love it, I wish I started it sooner, plus you get this amazing group of women, this community, they’re always there to help you, support you, cheer you on, push you. My favorite days are the Q and As with Nikkiey, this is where you see your progress, she’ll give you recommendations on workouts, she’ll even tweak like I said your little macros, that is personalized for you, for you. It’s no brainer, you know? I love this program, it’s for everyone who’s ready to make the change. I enjoy it, I can’t wait to see where it takes me.
